Debt Validated Properly

AFNI has satisfied my debt validation request. Collection as of right now is not on any of my reports as of yet, I'm sure it is soon to hit however.

How should I proceed forward, am I cornered into paying this or is there still reason to believe a PFD would work?

Any advice would help. This will be the only collection on my report, the OC is AT&T and it was first delinquient in 2013. The balace is just under a grand.

Contact AFNI and request a "pay to not report"

If a debt collector has provided debt validation, that removes any cease collection bar that may have been imposed under FDCPA 809(b).

They are thus free to resume normal collection activites, including reporting their collection and negotiating pay for deletion or pay for not reporting limitations, at any time.
