My son was injured on school property 9/2012; broken heel. The school's insurance company was supposed to pay the bill. Well they didnt! Nor did they deny the claim. So the doc put the bill in collections. Whoops, he needed a denial letter to do that. So after months of fighting with everyone over the bill, I finally disputed with the credit bureaus and the collection agency IC systems (these folks were actually trying to help me--amazing!). Spoke with them today, they stated and sent me a copy of their response : This account was put into collections without the original account holder receiving a denial of insurance benefits; the debt has been paid by the insurance company and is therefore no longer valid. Will be removed in a few days. WOO HOO!!!!!

Yay!!! I just sent them a GW letter for pet insurance that I didn't pay for a few months after my cat died!!!! Banfield sent me to collections after 90 days....wow!
