Denied a PFD. Should I just pay anyway?

I got denied by LVNV Funding for a PFD. They said it's against their policy. The account is currently in collections so I know it's bringing my score down. Should I just go ahead and pay it off anyway or still fight with them? I've gotten 3 other items removed by PFD, so I know it can be done.
