Denied for Walmart card

So I tried applying for a couple major cards to get some good reward points back and got denied.  Since I've rebuilt my credit I've been too excited with trying to apply for cards and I know it's bad but I swear I am so weak.  So I came onto the Fico forums to see what's new and how people have been doing and saw thing post.  I thought to myself, I wonder if I can get it lol..so sure enough a couple minutes ago I applied and was approved for $600 WalMart credit card.  I hope it's the actual credit card and not store card,  I want the credit card.  I will try my best to resist applying for other cards..but like I said I'm so weak.  PLUS!!!  Walmart is offering the 0% financing so it's a great deal for the holidays coming up.

Congrats on the new card. What was your scores when you applied? Also what report did they pull?

My current MyFico score is 687, Barclay Card is showing 649, & CapOne Credit Tracker is showing 641.  It doesn't look like they pulled from TU, but I do not know which ones they pulled from.

$600 was the same limit they gave me when I got my store card last year.  I highly doubt you got the MasterCard.

It didn't give an option to choose the store card or credit card, you just have to apply.  But when it said I was approved, it said WalMart credit card.  Wouldn't it have said store card if I wasn't approved for it?  Now I'm a little sad .  It's still good though when I need to buy my electronics or holiday gifts.

Walmart credit card is the store card.  It's much easier to get.... They default you to that card when they don't approve the MasterCard.

Looking at your current cards it's pretty obvious to me that you didn't get the MasterCard.
