Hi, I'm starry1 and I have bad credit. I'm very grateful to have found these boards, not only for the wealth of knowledge, but because I have a place I can admit that. Anyone can come here and come clean about how they messed up and ruined their credit, of how life messed them up and they had little choice but to file bankruptcy. The common denominator being we're all here to improve ourselves. I doubt most can admit to the people in their real lives that they have bad credit, not that finances are anyone else's business, but its wonderful to have this one place to be honest. I totally agree, I feel so relaxed being here knowing from seeing the scores people post , they are in the same boat with me and I am not alone and I know that what ever I ask I will get a honest helpful response and not looked down on becuase I didnt pay that bill!

My friends think I am soooo good with money and have nice things and I am always saying if I cant pay cash for it , I dont want it. When in reality ... I have to pay cash becuase my credit sucks and no one would give me a CC or a loan. But my verson to them sure sounds better!!

I have been here a short time and becuase of everyone willing to help and share information to openly and friendly I have now been able to actually face my sucky credit and feel like I have the power and ability to try to fix it!

I have had 2 TL delted and 2 AU accounts removed. I now have 3CC A) cap 1 B) matrix discover 3) Orchard bank. Its not much to brag about but to me ..its a fantastic feeling!! And its all thanks to everyone here!

Lol, Good post, yes, my finances were in horrible shape, now I'm a lot more knowledgeable and on top of things. With what I've learned, I'm hopeful to keep it that way.

In 2006 my credit was just horrible. My first credit score ever was 397... from freecreditreport.com. ive been rebuilding for longer than I had good credit before it got messed up. Its nice to have somewhere to go to continue to learn and to give you advice on every step of the journey. All the way bankruptcy to a prime mortgage this place has you covered... with very friendly and supportive folks who've either been there or who have compassion and grace to look past mistakes and see a promise of better days ahead
