Dispute Laws

Hi all!

I thought I read a few times that once a debt is disputed, the creditor has to stop contacting you.

I am asking because I have disputed Midland Funding and I just received a letter in the mail from them requesting payment.

Does anyone have any insight on this topic?

Thanks! Smiley Happy

Not true, one would need to send a cease & desist to the CA to not hear from them. A warning: if you are inside the SOL it may result in a lawsuit so tread lightly. Outside the SOL send a FOAD letter to not hear from them again.
