Hey guys, question for the experienced. I had a collection account deleted via dispute on EQ. I got the email first thing this morning about their decision to do so. I assume since this was the CRA, the deletion was instant. When will ScoreWatch send me an alert? I know I probably won't get an alert from the account getting deleted, but I do assume to gain a neglible number of points. Probably only a couple, but I doubt it would stay completely static.
Any ideas?

Right, but I'm not questioning the value of the deletion to my score, just wondering how the product works. That part shouldn't vary I wouldn't think.

If it impacts your score, you will get a SW alert. It may take a couple days.

Yeah, I mean, I expect it to impact my score somehow, hell it may even go down for some weird, buckety reason. Are SW alerts instant, or do they only send them out once a week, a couple times a week, etc.

They send them out as they occur. However, it usually takes a couple days. I have gotten SW alerts at 3am, 3pm, and anywhere in between. If it was your only negative item, there might be some weird buckety reason for a decrease, but most likley you will get a small bump. Hope it goes up for you!

As for timing of alerts...
I paid a CA on 11/7.
They updated to CRAs on 11/15 (according to the "last updated" notation on my reports)
I got the SW on 11/20.
So a 5 day lag including the weekend
I had already gotten my "no change detected" alert on 11/19
So, I got 2 that week.

Cool! That's good info. So it took SW some time to spit out the changes to your score. I'm waiting on two additional collections to be removed from all 3, so I'm not in a huge rush to see this minor change.

I've read some people say that the SW goes into a dormant like mode where it checks on ya every 5-7 days or whatever. I know something happens because in the beginning I was getting SW's if I sneezed too hard, now my CreditKarma has had 4 updates to it and I've still received nothing from SW. Just hang tight!

See and for me CK is worthless. I had 3 CAs delete on TU last week (I have monitoring on TU and I know when they came off) and CK still hasn't updated those records when I do my daily pulls. Ugh. Oh well it's free.
