Dispute resolved reported by grantor? Funky dates?

In april 2012 before I knew of this site, I had tried to dispute a Lincoln Tech school balance of 2,095.

Now, and has been since 4/23/12, reported as dispute resolved reported by grantor.

on my TU report this still shows as open with ampay status of 120 late.

I did notice that in dec 2011 it showed 120 late then for the next  3 months it showed ok?

Any insight appreciated!

Thank you!

Re: Dispute resolved reported by grantor? Funky dates?

I was disputing this because the original school was closed down by the Mass dept of edu for a revolving door scam. Then a company, computer ed took it over and that company was bought out by Lincoln Tech. I never finished the classes since the first school was shut down!

Literally went to school and there was a chain on the door!

So i guess it is not resolved since it still shows open and 120 late?

Seems you wouldn't owe a debt from a scam.  Can you get proof of that?

What type of loan(s) were they?

Proof...from 2001 i'm not sure.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by what kind of loan?

According to the cr it is an installment loan?

Should I call Lincoln and ask without verifying the debt?

At this point I just need it gone...it's 2 grand not 20, so maybe they would settle the debt for less even?

On the cr it's listed as an educational loan With a high balance of $3883.

Is this the kind of school loan that will never disappear?

Mass sol is 6 years does this apply?

This is from another lifetime ago...I've moved to another state, etc.

Maybe a PFD?

What kind of loan - Like a state or federal school loan.  Or was it a personal loan?

I don't remember since it was so long ago.

But considering the small amount, I would guess it is a private loan not a state or federal.

But then why the heck would it be on my report with a opening date of 2001...

I was wondering about the federal or state because they do have remedies for schools that closed down and the student never finished classes.

I think my brain just started working or something because I went online to NSLDS website and they are NO identifiers for me there.

This is the Federal website for students about federal school loans and pins to sign promisory notes etc.

Interesting that I actually had a pin number and they had some info, but when i went to check my school records etc. and entered the right pin number

(which took me forever to reestablish it and request it from the feds) there were NO identifiers which I take as not having a Federal Loan!
