I had mentioned this a while back but never got a response. On my Capital One Auto loan I had vigoursly disputed several lates with them. I ended up being able to get about 1/3 of the various lates removed. My credit report for them now list the following in account discription: Dispute resolved reported by grantor.
How do yall think other creditors seeing this may look at my account? I still have a string of uglies on the account and a weird month were I go from 60 days late to being on time to being 60 days late the next month (which of course is impossible).
My remaining lates are:
Feb 2009 Sept 2010 Nov 2010 March 2011 April 2011 May 2011
60 30 30 30 30 30
June 2011 July 2011 Aug 2011 Sept 2011 Oct 2011 Nov 2011 Dec 2011
30 30 30 60 OK 60 60
All that says is the account was in dispute and the creditor is saying it has been resolved.
Was the account charged off? Sent to collections?
Never charged off and never sent to collections. I had always made payments on the account with the exception of a couple of months. I thought I had payment agreement with them to get account back up to date and current and they messed it up. Bascially, I was paying every month but they kept on rolling the lates over. I tried to correct it and they ended up making account 60 days late instead of 30. After a very protracted battle with them they removed 4-30 day lates and 2-60 day lates.
Im going to give it another 6 months or so then try to get some more lates removed by GW but I dont want to press my luck. Its a mess but with the 60 day late in 2009 and the account going from 60 to 0 to 60 again in 2011, I have clear areas that I can point to in recons that illustrate how messed up Cap1 handled the account. While I want the lates removed, I'm ok with the status of the account currently. It was partly my fault after all by not paying more attention to my obligations.
