Dispute success!

I submitted a few disputes online with Equifax and recieved results this week. Three collection accounts removed! Saw a 17 point jump overnight. Good things CAN actually come of this process

Verizon Wireless- paid collection -> deleted

Harvest Associates (medical)- unpaid collection -> deleted

University Health Services (medical)- unpaid collection -> deleted

Before the results came in, I had emailed Harvest Associates a PFD agreement, which they signed. I paid it, but it had already been deleted. Whoops! Glad it's gone though.

still waiting on results from the other two bureaus, TransUnion is sooooo slow to update

Congrats! That is awesome! What did you put for dispute reason for Verizon Wireless? Was it directly with Verizon Wireless or the CA collecting for them? Trying to get rid of them myself.

Thank you! So the deal with Verizon is that it had been paid over a year ago. I moved overseas on military orders, cancelled the account, and they continued to bill me. I disputed first with Verizon but they wouldn't honor my request to credit the account. So, I paid it. Then, I saw on my credit report that it still said unpaid. I disputed with the credit bureau, saying the account had been paid and was never late. Verizon failed to respond in 30 days (because my account was closed and paid, so they didn't have the record anymore) so EQ deleted the entry. Hope that helped!
