Disputed account updated to closed? Does credit score change?

I disputed an item that I believed was 7+ years old but apparently it expires next summer.  They updated it to closed.  I'm guessing because they sold it to collection agency and don't have it anymore.

Will that alter my credit score in any way, with an increase or decrease?
