Disputed with CRA, they say verified...what next?

If we dispute an item that we disagree with on our credit report, and they come back stating that it was verified and will continue to stay on, is there anything we can do? Can we request proof of this validation?

Re: Disputed with CRA, they say verified...what next?

Also, should this be sent CMRRR?

Is there a timeframe on how long they have to respond? And if they do not/cannot provide this information, are they then required to discontinue the reporting?

Yes, send CMRRR.

They have to respond with 15 days per FCRA.

No, they aren't required to stop reporting.

What did you dispute? Who is reporting it?

There may be other alternatives.

Re: Disputed with CRA, they say verified...what next?

It was a civil judgment that I did not recognize. No information on the reports about who is reporting it, just date it was added which was 8/07.

EDIT: It also had appeared on TU and EQ. They promptly deleted the info.
