Disputes and score

I disputed several items on my Equifax and Transunion reports early this month and I now see that my score has risen about 60 points on EQ and 140 on TU. Does a credit score rise while things are in dispute, but fall down again if they are verified? I haven't gotten an email from EQ saying the process is complete yet. I did get an email from TU that the dispute process was completed. I am not sure where I stand right now. I have done some cleaning and disputing but am unclear as to what can still hurt and what I can do to improve the CRs. I would like someone to give me an idea of what to do with what I have left outstanding.

TU Report - Dispute investigation completed. 2 accts. paid as agreed

 1. First Bank Of Delaware - Date opened - 6/2006 / $0 BAL /Charged off as bad debt

 2. Plains Commerce bank - Date opened - 6/2006 / $0 bal / payment after charge off

 3. HSBC Bank - Date opened - 1/2007 / $0 bal / Payment after charge off/collection **Account information disputed by consumer

 4. HSBC Bank - Date opened - 10/2006 / $0 bal / Payment after charge off/collection **Account information disputed by consumer

 5. LVNV - Date opened - 1/2009 / $633 val / Collections acct. - have settlement letter for $248 (under collections it is not listed at all, but in "Accounts" is says collection account **Account information disputed by consumer

 6. No collections in "Collections" section of report

Any ideas?

Re: Disputes and score

Some disputes remove items from scoring. Many others don't. It depends on how the lender reports (codes) the dispute.

Re: Disputes and score

Thanks! I would like to buy a home in the future and I think the dispute comments need to be removed. Not really sure how to do it yet, but I will research that.
