Disputing EQ

It says you need a number can you get that from score watch or the report thats on your score watch?

Starting Score: EQ FICO 582, TU 614, EX 528 9/13
Current Score: EQ FICO 648, TU 678, EX 663
Goal Score: 700

If memory serves me correctly, it has to be one of equifax's numbers. Go get your free annual report from them and use the number on that report.

I presume you are intended to file an on-line dispute, and that you need a number for that process?

 

If so, I might reconsider.  In view of the CFPB's recent directive on CRA disputes that they will hold the CRAs accountable for forwarding all information to the furnisher, I personally would not sanitize my own dispute my limitiing what I can provide to only what their on-line form permits.

I would send it snail-mail, wth all supporting documentation and arguments.
