Hi everyone!
Just trying to find out some info for my girlfriend. She's in the process of rebuilding her credit.
She has numerous medical collections on her credit report from 2008 and later. However, she was covered under MediCal during these visits. Some are scheduled to be removed in 2016, however she would like to prove she was covered and have the hospital bill the insurance company if possible. She hasn't reached out to the hospital yet because she doesn't want to "reactivate" the collection and have the removal date postponed (if that is even possible).
Should she call the hospital and try to submit verifcation she was insured during her visits and request removal of the collection from all 3 credit reports? Or should she take other steps?
Please advise. Thank you!
