I have to say that the big gap confuses me. It's hard for me to tell what your DOFD is b/c of that gap. Did you say the OC has records? If they do, ask them to give them to you.

I will try and see that is a good idea. I know the OC PNC bank does not have any records but MBNA might have them but not sure since it was bought out by BOA.

Re: Do I have any rights with this C/O I have been paying?

wow, i called boa they only have records for past 5 years. they told me to call ca they assigned to because they would have the older records. well i called the ca collect america and they owned the account but assigned harrison and byke attorney's to it and told me they would have the records and they told me it was assigned to another attorney which is the one i have been paying for the past year.

so i call him and he tells me they don't have records either and sometime i would have recieved a form saying mbna owned the pnc bank card account now and i could have written a letter to decline keeping account with them and i didn't because i wasn't paying the card it was default by atleast 60 days so the oc now becomes mbna and any pnc history doesn't matter anymore. well i didn't pay mbna either and the account was bought by boa which automatically put in c/o.

both the oc now reporting as boa and the main ca is reporting to fall off oct 2008. the attorney is telling me the ca could report 7 years past the last payment to them which i know is bull. because the ca fall off date has to match the oc fall off date which goes by dofd causing the co right?

so i don't think this attorney has any idea regarding legalities of credit reporting.

what do you guys think?

Seven years past DOFD to the OC. Paying a CA doesn't affect CRTP whatsoever.
