Do inquiries hurt my score?

Absolutely yes, they do. Banks look at inquiries as a sign of weakness (needing money.) The more inquiries a person has on the report, the bank automatically assumes that the person is in NEED of money. When that happens, banks typically shy away from those applications and deny them.
