Do late payments on loan go away once loan pays off

Hello, Im trying to improve my credit score but i have a few late payments on my car note. My car will pay off in July. If i pay off the remaining balance now, will my late payment history go away once the loan is satisfied? Please tell me yes! Im trying to buy a house this year.

nope...     It will Turn positive after the lates AGE off...That is usually 7 years after the late occured...I am pretty sure.

Oh no, that's what i was afraid of 😢 thanks for the info. So im better off making the last few on time payments vs paying it off early, right?

honestly won't matter...how long ago was the lates?

You can always try good will letter. I am in a similar situation with 2 payments left. I'm praying I have success with the GW letter I sent

I had 3 recent late payments in Sept Oct Nov. I will try the goodwill letter, maybe ill get lucky and they will remove it.
