Does AAoA or Being a AU really mean anything?

I haven't had credit cards in about 10 years. Perfect history on accounts that are closed and on two closed installment loans. AAoA is 20 years. I was added as a AU on a store card and a chase card. App'd for Amex and was approved for two cards but other than them nothing. Not even a store card. Main reason is "no revolving account activity". (Amex isn't reporting yet) Do companies not look at cards that are AU? And does having such a long AAoA if you aren't currently using it not mean anything?

The reason wasn't no revolving accounts, it was no revolving actuvity. If the cards you are an AU on don't report a balance on at least 1 of them occasionally then it will look like there is no activity.

Thanks for the reply, that's what I thought at first but both cards are carrying a small balance.

This is likely a timing of reporting issue vs when applying issue....
The timing must tight
On one hand it's
Can't get ANY approvals, not even store cards
Yet there hasn't even been enough time for the AmEx to even report
So how long can we be speaking of...
We're there just a bunch of apps thrown at once

Somethings a little off
