Does disputing your credit temporarily inflate your credit score??

When an account it disputed it is temporarily taken out of FICO scoring, so it can make your score increase or decrease depending on the specifics of what you are disputing.
It could inflate or deflate, depending upon the information in your credit file.
Disputes over OC reporting temporarilty remove much of the account information from scoring, so the resulting FICO score, whether inflated or deflated, becomes pretty much unusable.
The dispute flag will identify the status of an ongoing dispute to anyone viewing your CR, and will most likely, if they understand credit reporting, result in their reluctance to give your score concrete weight.
It is important that, upon conclusion of the dispute, you have the dispute code update to resolved. That is often a major problem reported by many on the site.
lol well so much for my recent progress!

As already noted your score might go up or down depending on what you disputed. During a dispute, CAs and PRs are scored normally as they always are. OC accounts are treated a bit differently. Specific components are not scored like the balance, CL and the payment history, but all others like the mix and length of history are scored.
Ah ok, thank you for the clarification - I think I may be ok then!
