I am signed up for myFico Score Watch and also CreditCheck Monitoring through USAA (Experian). Yeah, why the two... I originally signed up for myFico, then found that I could get all three scores through USAA pretty cheap.
I've recently mailed off lots of disputes to all the credit bureas. Today I got a notice by email from myFico Score Watch that my score has changed. I logged-in and it says it dropped from 572 to 559. Only thing that changed is in the comments of 8 accounts it now says...
Consumer disputes - reinvestigation in process Amount in high credit is original charge-off amount
Why would this decrease my score?
And why didn't this change in all the accounts i disputed? I disputed 14 accounts through Equifax, all sent together in same certified letter.
Weird part about this is that the myFico score is suppose to be Equifax credit score, correct?
On USAA's CreditCheck Monitoring (through Experian) my Experian score has been 572, but my Equifax score has been 582. MyFico Score Watch is saying my Equifax score was 572. Yeah I know... they both suck, but not sure why I'm paying for these if they aren't accurate.
Anyone have a clue why the difference?
The scores you are getting from USAA are fake, we call those FAKOs. There are no creditors whatsoever that use those scores.
Thanks Shogun for the info... guess that's a waste. Is the info on each credit report accurate?
Don't get me wrong, the info on them is great. As far as a monitoring service, USAA and several others are great. Just don't rely on their scores. Can be as much as +/- over 100 points to your actual FICO.
