EARLY EXCLUSIONS

Good evening,

What is the best way to ask for an "early exclusion"? Should I call or write the Credit Reporting Agency? I have a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy that was filed on 10/16/2005 and wanted to see if it will come off early. Thank in advance

You can call or write to them. Guidelines are 6 months in advance for TU and 2-3 months in advance on the other 2 CRAs. Recent reports suggest EQ is getting hardnosed on them and will only consider 1 month in advance but it doesnt mean you dont try.

Make sure you request this after April 16th . It has to be 6 months to the day .

Experian has been telling me for the past couple months that they can not give an early exclusion until at least 30 days prior to when it's scheduled to come off. I've called them at least 20 times trying to get an early exclusion on an account scheduled to drop off in June. They said that the June date is already earlier than it was originally supposed to come of.. if that makes any sense. I think I will try again right now..
