EQ didn't update the releasse date or status on state tax lien!

I mailed them the release statement from the state indicating "satisfied", with the release date. They indicated that the lien was reporting correctly and it shows a date verified "7/2010" and no status or release date. It still looks as if I have an unpaid lien. What do I do?

TU updated thiers and even added when the lien would be deleted. Still waiting EX.

So I called them today. The nice lady didn't undestand why it wasn't updated. She initiated a new dispute process to get them to update it. Do they always have to go through the dispute process in order to change status?

Yep, unfortunately. Changing anything, including your name, would result in a dispute.
