EWS DISPUTE?

Not sure if this will get moved or not but I have a question in regards to a reporting by Early Warning Services Inc. 4 years ago I was going thru a nasty break up and in the chaos my crazy EX overdrew my checking acct. Since then I have not been able to open any type of acct whatsoever. Iv disputed the reporting, wrote letters to Bank of America but I always receive the same response. "We have reviewed the acct and found that the reporting is accurate and will remain in effect ". My question is, has anyone else had a reporting by EWS or Chexsystems and if so have you been able to get it removed?

Are you asserting an inaccuracy?

If so, what is the inaccuracy and how is it documented?

They have verified the accuracy as reported.

There is no formal appeal from a dispute determination.

If you feel that their determination clearly is improper in some manner, you can file an administrative complaint with the CFPB.

If you feel that you need more info from them to pursue a complaint, you will likely need to file a civil action.

Thank u. I emailed the CEO of Boa and explained the situation. I received a phone call from a very friendly lady w/in a few hrs stating that they had received the email and would look into it ASAP. Very excited and keeping my fingers crossed. Not being able to open a bank acct is such a major inconvenience. I will never take banking for granted again.
