Early Exclusion?? What is it??

Just wondering if someone can explain what early exclusion is and when it is useful.

When your derogatory marks are approaching 7 years, you can ask the credit bureaus to remove them early. It may or may not work and sometimes you have to try multiple times. TU is usually the earliest to remove derogs at 6 months early. I think Exp is 2-3 months and EQ 1 month... although I may have those 2 backwards 😀

Some people dispute it online with good results. They'll either check the box for age, or if there's a comment box they'll say they're not disputing, just requesting it be removed early.

The drawback to disputing when asking for an EE is that you might have to wait 30 days just to be told no. If you call (ask for a supervisor if you do) you'll know immediately if you get it or not.
