Hmmm, its been with them almost two years. Next I would determine for certain whether Comcast and Sprint have sold these debt, or if they have only assigned it. Usually they don't leave a debt with a collector that long.

do you suggest contacting comcast to inquire, but leaving sprint be until after SOL? 

also if comcast has sold it, does the TL reported by ERC need to change in some way?

If Comcast and Sprint still own them, you can try to have them recall the debts from collections so you can pay them directly. If they have sold the debts, then you should certainly wait out the SOL, IMO.
