I sent a certified letter to ERC for a PFD of a $60 account. They never responded so I called to get more information and they told me that they do not do PFD but I can pay it and receive a letter for PIF. Should I go ahead and make the payment and then try disputing it aftewards? Or should I not worry about it and let it sit there? I mean I have the $60 and just praying that they will have a little mercy on me when I do pay it and delete it. Lol
Need some advice!
I would keep sending PFD letters, underlining that they can choose to delete if they want. I would try for some time before PIF and GW. You have some leverage now that you wont have when you GW. But I'm new to this thing and still learning so maybe someone who has more experience then me can have something better to say.
Keep sending the PFD letters, look at some of the PFD letters on this site, and amend it to your advantage.
ERC also rejected me on a $156.00 account. Any luck with them accepting follow-up PFD letters? And if so can you please share the letter format you sent to them??? Thanks!!

did you guys validate before offering to PFD?
Some places just don't accept PFD. If not, I'd say settle and GW.

So GW is "good will"??? Whats the approach when doing this?? Anybody want to share a letter template that has worked?
There's a sticky thread at the top of the Board with examples. Searching will pull up a lot of examples, too. GW letters are meant to be individual, so you'd want to tailor something to your situation. Basically the idea is to reach someone and appeal to their personal side, since they're really doing a favor by removing the negative information/TL.
