They validated and sent a copy of the original final bill with the statement "Please be advised we may have reported this debt to the credit reporting agencies. In acknowledgement of your dispute, we have requested the account be updated as disputed. Credit reporting agencies may take up to 30 days of longer to update reports, this is beyond our control."
So basically they just told me to screw off and made it worse by reporting a disputed trade line. Correct?
No. It's telling you that they're going to mark it as Disputed on the CRA"s.
It also lets people know that are viewing your credit report that you are disputing the account.
