I know that CRAs can be slow as molasses in winter to update, but Equifax hasn't updated my balances on a few CCs for over 30 days and there is a medical collection that was removed several weeks ago now that is still reporting. I've called the CA (they had sent me a letter about removing from the CRAs) and they insist they did so the day before they mailed it out. EX updated the CA within 24 hours.
I'm starting to get frustrated as time is beginning to be of the essence. Is it possible for them to have split the file AGAIN or are they just being slow to update?
Only way to find out is to pull Equifax report(s).. If you have Score Watcha dn see it flipping between two scores back and forth, that could be a clue. But, I'm sure once you pull a report you will see if your file has been split.
Last 2 times my file was split I did BBB complaints. That usually gets them to act fast.
How do you know your file has been split by looking at your credit report?
The way I have detected my file was split in past was missing accounts, accounts not updated on monthly basis, old accounts once deleted, return, etc...
