Currently have an Equifax FICO of 589. Theres a credit card thats been charged off with a balance of ~$1700. Equifax score similator says that 1 payment of $50 will put my score in a range from 609 to 639. While only considering the posible jump to 609, how realistic is Equifax's estimate?
This is roughly whats on my report:
Mortgage $200K - only 2 months old, pays as agreed
paid tax lien - 15 months old
charged off car loan - 30 months since first delinquency
collection account (Charter $130) - 70 months
collection account (credit card $2K) - 48 months
charged off credit card (credit card $1700) - 30 months
Seems unrealistic. Do you have any other CCs? Is this CO reporting a CL, and if so, what CL is that?
I only have one charge off on my CR that I paid in full about 3 weeks ago.
When I used the simlator, it told me that if i paid the collection in full i would gain about 15 points. So far i haven't seen that.
I'm sorry, but I don't believe anything that Equifax tells me anymore, I've received better advice from Loan Officer's (Mortgage)..we are in the process of purchasing a home.
