Does anyone have an opinion regarding these two servces? I'm currently subscribed to gold watch, but it appears that for the same price I can get access to all 3 reports and scores through USAA?
How much are you paying a month for Equifax Gold Watch? And, what do they give you for that price?
I currently subscribe to USAA CCM and am very pleased with it. I pay $12.25/month for access to all 3 reports...the scores they offer are not FICO scores (they are PLUS scores), but that's okay with me...I'm just happy that I can pull a new report daily without any extra cost.
I have noticed, though, that CCM is usually a day ahead of FICO's ScoreWatch when it comes to sending out alerts.
USAA is great, it's based on Experian and I find that things hit there a day or two before the service reports them on the other two CRAs. Just have to ignore the score.
I also have Equifax Scorewatch, it's about half price through NFCU. That's Equifax only and watches my EQ FICO score. Beware of other Equifax services that provide FAKO scores.
These services are the same, just wrapped in a differnt loook depending on hwo you get the service from.
USAA CCM is Equifax!!! Just note the URL when you get sign in
USAA relabels CCT, which is Expedia based, not Equifax, and all scores are FAKO.
With Equifax Credit Watch Gold you get access to your EQ soft inquiries.
With USAA's Credit Monitoring, you get all three reports, but you do not get any soft inquiries for EQ -- or even TU and EX.
Also, with EQ's product you can lock / unlock your EQ credit file. With USAA's you cannot.
