Today I logged in to Equifax to dispute an incorrect information and was surprised, but need some help.
One one my Mortgage accounts, which was 120 days 3 years back is showing strangly.
Under Pay Status it shows - 120 days late
But when I look at the monthly status it should show the months when I was late for 30, 60, 90 and 120 days. It does not show anythign but "GREEN".
(By the way 2 - 3 weeks ago this was showing properly)
Has aone oen seen this?
How is this possiblem. Who should I conflict this with?
More surprise "It does not show as a negative account on my report"
Thank you,
Was it ever late? Did you dispute directly with the mortgage company or the CRAs previously?
Yes it was for 120 days and it showed 30,60,90,120 days 3 weeks back.
I wrote a goodwill letter askign them to remove the late payments. They responded back and denied my request.
Now surprisingly it shows the payment dates all greeen except the One section Pay Status "120 days late".
It looks like they may have removed them. But left the payment status.
How do I get the payment status updated?
Any suggestions.
This is only Equifax, I still need to check Experian and Transunion.
If they removed the lates I don't see how there can be a payment status of 120 days late.
Where did you check your EQ? If it was from myFICO, I would suggest looking at one directly from the CRAs.
Here is what I did.
I needed to dispute an item on Equifax (Unauthiriuzed Enquiry from CapitalOne) and I went online to dispute the same. Thats when I saw that the laes never show up and all is greeen except the Pay Status. This was in the last two days.
I have a copy of my report from 3 weeks back and I double checked. It shows the late payment months.
By the way lender is CitiMortgage.
Since this does not show under Negativ Accounts, Should I ignore this?
I wouldn't totally ignore it. Just keep an eye on it and see if anything else happens.
If it is reporting as a positive account, that is a good thing.
Thank you.
How will a creditor look at this account, if and when I apply for a home loan?
Since it shows under postive account, but current status as 120 past due?
Will they just jump to negative account directly?
