Eviction: Judgement and Collection Account on CR--What steps do I take?!?!

I live in the commonwealth of VA ...

10/15/2013---Update: Got FCO to settle for $3105 including judgement (OC will contact court update CR) After update, I will file a motion to set aside based on satisfaction...it was a default judgement.  I will send payment today and include a GW PFD letter.....and see what happens.

1. Filed 12/2011--Judgement $2400 + 6% interest

2. Opened 4/2012--FCO Collection $4385

Finance guy told me to take care of the judgement did NOT mention the Collection account. This is a joint liability my EX and I had the apartment together.....could that be why the finance guy told me to pay the judgement only??

Court will not take the payment for the judgement, OC (apartment corporate office) won't take it, attorney listed won't take it, they all forward me to the CA who is asking for no less than $4385.  If I pay the judgement amount to the CA will I be able to have the judgement satisfied??

Why would the judgement amount be less than the collection?? Which one do I need to pay? Or dare I think about paying both?????

The CA is collecting and has added fees and interest on top of the principal of the judgment.  If you pay them it will satisfy the judgment.

I need to get the judgement satisfied...do you think I should pay them the judgement amount first, so they will report...then finish with PFD?

Re: Eviction: Judgement and Collection Account on CR--What steps do I take?!?!

11/9 Update---FCO hasn't updated to a paid collection yet.....and they have ignored all of my GW letters and messages.

10/16- Paid $3105 settlement amount to FCO

11/01- Received judgement satisfaction notice

11/05- Filed Motion to set aside default judgement

11/15- Administrative hearing

Oh, I truly hope my motion is upheld and the judgement is set aside..I would love to send those papers to the 3 CRAs.  Smiley Happy

The CA is required to update immediately with the CRAs to show it has been paid.

I would send them a direct dispute since they are ignoring your letters.

Ok, this is the right one...Judgment has been vacated. And, FCO marked the account paid. so, I will have to keep sending GWs. Holiday cheer, please remove the collection account. Please.
