Experian +47 !!!

So my Merrick CO from 2011 updated today to a $0 balance as a result of a partial settlement and my score jumped 47 points on Experian! Can't wait for the other 2 to update...

Expedian was at 576. TU is at 572 and EQ is at 576....hopefully Over 600 when they update. Had no idea settling a $1700 debt could have such an impact.

Thanks for all the advice on these here forums!!

Congrats! Getting of collections or any negative item can give you a nice boost. I got rid of 2 and got almost a 60 point boost across the board.

Year 2012: All Scores in the 520 range, during a foreclosure, CC Settlement and high UTIL. Very ugly days...

Congrats on your removals!! I'm still working on mine with my charge offs. I got all my collections deleted. Smiley Happy

I don't think the OP got it removed, his post states that the balance updated to reflect a $0 balance. A good jump for just an update in amount owed on a collection. Usually you see little if any score bump at all! Congrats Smiley Happy

Yes it was paid not deleted so still there but with a $0 balance. It was also affecting my utilization so I think that also helped the score.

That explains the huge jump in score, your utilization was probably super high with a charged off CC.
Don’t take your credit for granted, use it with care! These days, catch me in the bankruptcy forum!?
