This is very frustrating. I just want a mortgage. Mortgage lender tells me one thing said to keep a $25 balance on all 3 credit cards, USDA tells me I should pay off all three cards and close the accounts if I don't want them included when they figure out how house I can buy. I definitely not closing the accounts I worked so hard to get. I just want to know how much house they will let me buy. I make $28,000 year with 2 dependents and only have a small car payment $253 month. I did pay off 3 credit cards today to within a $25 balance,as well as paying off a finance company. My credit utilization was at 85%. I won't suffer from mortgage payment being too high (shock or whatever they call it) I have been paying over $750 a month for the last 7 years for rent.
USDA said I would be considered for the very low income direct loan.
I am begining to really hate credit bureaus!
