Experian Report Help

So i managed to get the late payments from my equifax and transunion report changed to an (X) or unknown. But experian refuses to change or remove the information. How come transunion and equifax removed the information, but experian actually verified the late payments in less than 48 hours?

Re: Experian Report Help

i almost feel like experian just validates it because it saves them time. Without the extra work they can do other things. It's like they want you to go way out of YOUR way to prove to them it's wrong. I might have to make a plan and go for it. Any ideas?

Re: Experian Report Help

All 3 CRA's use e-oscar which is an automated system that sends a 2 digits code to the furnisher. 99% of the time the system will verify information as being accurate.

Re: Experian Report Help

How would you get around them using eOscar and do an actual investigation?

Re: Experian Report Help

i think that you might have to deal with the credit card issuer. Or sue the credit card company if you feel that strongly about the error on your report. Im going to keep reading up on a manual investigation and ill post here later.

Re: Experian Report Help

Are they not accurate or is the account not yours?

If not, I would not dispute with the CRAs again and do a direct dispute with the CCC.

Re: Experian Report Help

The accounts are not mine. The e Oscar came back as being my account. This is my second time disputing. So what the poster above me is saying is; I should take it up with the credit card issuer. Am I correct in taking the issue up with the original CCC issuer at this time?

Re: Experian Report Help

File an FTC Fraud Affidavit and police report http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/resources/forms/affidavit.pdf and send that to them.

Send the Affidavit along with the police report to the CRAs to have them block the TL from others seeing it.
