Experian Reporting

I was comparing my CRA files because Experian srrmd to be about 80 pts lower for no real reason that I can see. I did notice that on my closed accounts that have been paid (but have lates) Equ and TU are putting the status as "paid as agreed" and Ex says "60 days late" or "closed, paid, 90 days late." They all have the same late payments in the history though. Is this causing the gap? Can I do anything about it?

Re: Experian Reporting

Oh the only other thing I noticed different was a report account sold at auction on 2012. TU and Experian correctly show only $6994 charged off as the balance that was left after selling the car. Experian shows "account charged off: $25,074 written off and $6994 past due." It seems like they are making it look like they never sold the car and I'm responsible for the whole balance. Am I reading it right? Is this more likely the issue causing the gap?

Re: Experian Reporting

Sorry for the mistakes. TU and Equifax are showing it correctly. Experian has the weird $25074/$6994 issue.

Re: Experian Reporting

Sorry, I have no experience with this.  Someone should answer you in a few hrs.  I did notice Experian as being the lowest of my scores.

Re: Experian Reporting

Because the CRA's do not all gather and report the same data in exactly the same way, the FICO algorithm is unique to each one, and will seldom produce the exact same results with seemingly identical data reporting. As a result sometimes you will see such seemingly inexplicable wierdness.

All you can really do is try to address each derogatory item in the recommended fashion, I.E., PFD unpaid collections, GW paid collections, GW lates and other OC derogs on paid accounts, and PFD charged off OC accounts with balances. If something is not being reported correctly, use the dispute process to correct it.
