I filed a dispute with all 3 bureaus regarding a junk debt buyer that was reporting an old collection on March 1. My dispute was more about correcting incorrect things, not the collection itself. TU and EQ still show the account, with a bit of corrected info. However, EX has deleted the account entirely!!!
My question is this - how do I know if this is gone permanently from EX or if it will reappear? And if it's gone permanently, how do I find out why, so I can pass that on to TU and EQ for deletion?
Any help is SUPER appreciated!!!
If an account is removed during a dispute because the creditor could not verify, it can be added back later providing the CRAs certifies that the debt is valid. It doesn't only need to be the CA who was reporting but anyone who tries to add it back.
