Experian disputing woes!

I posted this in my "personal" journal, and I felt the need to share this with a broader audience for more chances of helping words.

Why oh why does EX make it so difficult to delete personal information? Smiley IndifferentI have a legit reason for wanting all of my addresses deleted from my credit report and they are acting like I am committing a crime. Due to the nature of my job, I accumulated 24 (Yes 24) addresses listed on my CR! The way I see it that is 24 potential chances of identity theft in today's world, especially since most of them were GOV'T multiple dwelling housing units.

I have followed their rules, and played their game, and all i keep getting is the "We are unable to remove this address due it being associated with a validated account.."....I've looked and the associated accounts are closed account no longer updating!Smiley Mad

TU and EQ, hats of to you for making a simple call worth while. EX, you have mail on the way!

Has anybody else experienced this? Am I going about this the wrong way? I have called, faxed and mailed disputes...what else can i do? I know I may be asking for a lot, but I feel like if one can do it, they all should be able to do it!Smiley Frustrated

Update the addresses on your closed accounts to your current address then try again.

Re: Experian disputing woes!

Yeah I guess I could do that. Do you think there is a risk of reaging a baddie if they decide to update with "ND" due to the address change? Thanks!

They could update to the current date thats always a possibility, one other thing you dont want to do this if they are still within the SOL. I did not realize we were discussing baddies here as well.

Re: Experian disputing woes!

Its not an unsettled account...its a paid CO (i know i know. I am still kicking myself) but it is not showing as such right now. Its is showing as a positive Closed tradeline "Paid or Paying as agreed" "Paid in full". I think that i will just leave those alone and update the positive tradelines for now and try to get my number of addy's down some.

I can't wait to hear the CSR response when i ask to update the address on an account that has been closed for few years now lol. Well thanks for the help!
