Experian re aged my stuff

I had a baddies that was supposed to fall off in 2013. However, since I disputed it last year, they don't mention when it will fall off , it just says "This item was updated from our processing of your dispute in April 2012. Isn't this waht they refer to as re-aging and isn't that illegal? Please be witty and eloquent in your response.

CA's can't re-age TL's. What was the dispute regarding? Do you remember what month this yr is was suppose to fall off?

If they were due to fall off this year, it might have been a bad idea to dispute them last year.

I don't know the answer to your question except for what comes to mind: maybe they will stay on your report UNTIL the dispute(s) are resolved? Maybe the active dispute is the only thing keeping them on???

In other words, without the active dispute, they would have fallen off as scheduled.

Anybody know if a certain kind of dispute can reset the clock?

No dispute stops something from being exluded for age. No dispute restarts the DoFD. Nothing can change that.

It is still 2013 so there is still plenty of time for it to be removed due to age.

The clock can't be reset. But we need to know the DOFD of the account to know when it should be excluded. Or if you have an old CR with the information of when it was to be removed, you could send that in.
