I asked EX to provide method of investigation.
They replied with "we have already investigated this information and the credit grantor has verified its accuracy".
Really? Since when is a CA a credit grantor?
If I requested the information you provided under 611(a)(2)(B), where it it exactly?
Any idea how to pursue?
I'm having the same issue with TU.......
The statute that controls provision of method of verification is FCRA 611(a)(6)(B)(iii).
In summary, IF you requested a "description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the informatio." as part of your notice of dispute, then they must provide it in their written notice to you of the results of the disptue. Otherwise, they dont.
Always include such a request in your original notice of dispute. Teh statute does not provdive your right to request method of verification after receipt of their written notice to you of the results of your dispute.
