@mrsbatch wrote:what is FAKO???? what a leaning process this is
thanks so much I will figure it out someday
FAKO is just a term we use.
There are very few places you can obtain your FICO scores from.
You can obtain them here at MYFICO for Equifax and TRANS UNION.
You can obtain your Equifax FICO score from Equifax direct but would require you to sign up for ScoreWatch.
You can obtain your TRANS UNION FICO score from transunioncs.com (notice the -cs on the end) for your Trans Union FICO score.
You can obtain your Experian FICO score through a CU named PSECU.
You can also obtain your FICO scores through creditors/lenders.
If and when you try to get your FICO scores and you decide to purchase through MYFICO google MYFICO discounts and save a few dollars.
Much appreciate all of the info!!! right now I will wait til end of February to see if FICO reports a score to my lender --
Feb wil be six months since I started using secured cards.... will see...
this is all such great assistance

The title of this thread FICO score vs Consumer score is there such a thing?
The answer is yes.
Thats a good thing to do and wait until the 6 months passes.
Good Luck and hope it all works out for you.

p.s. my spouse is also a VietNamVet and I LOVED how you sign your emails
Tell your husband I'm glad he made it home!
May I make a suggeston? When you are replying to a post if you will click on the "Quote" button, then type your message before you hit "Reply" then everyone will know exactly who you are responding to. It makes for much less confusion.
From a BK years ago to:

OP, was your lender able to see your secured cards on your report? i.e., do you know for sure that they're reporting?
yes they are all listed with the correct date I opended them, they just have no FICO

Got it!!! thanks fo the tip
So they're reporting, you should get a score at the 6 month mark. Also, no need to start having balances on them. I personally pay balances off on 2 of my 3 cards as soon as they hit the cards, and I pay the other in full every 2 weeks (payday). That one always posts a low balance.
