OK after years of trying, off and on of course, I FINALLY got West Asset Management to remove a PAID collection from my report stemming from 2008 prior to me knowing about a PFD option. It was a long time coming but I contacted the executive office from ATT and was able to get them to agree to have WAM withdraw the accounts from the credit bureaus. The lady at ATT was actually nice enough to email me a letter that she sent over to them in case I have any issues with it being removed. I'm so excited. I'm still plugging away at a couple others though but this is a great feeling!!

Please let us know when the CA actually comes off the report!
WAM has been uncorporative in removing something they put on that they never owned. The hospital was paid directly and WAM NEVER had the account. They refuse to remove it saying since money was actually owed from the surgery (it was - I paid some, insurance paid some, and I paid off the balance). WAM said that it didn't matter that the account was paid off in a timelly manner, a balance was owed for a day, therefore they had the right to report it.
WAM was the in house CA for the hospital.

As of TODAY, WEST ASSET MANAGEMENT is offically off my credit reports! So it took less than a week for it to be removed!!
