Just got a FICO alert – my fico is now above 600!! Okay it’s only 601 but I don’t care. To my knowledge it’s never been above 600….maybe when I first got credit but never checked LOL
So my question is this.....that was a 14 point jump.
To my knowledge nothing was supposed to drop off my reports last month for an update this month.
HOWEVER, I paid 2 collections (valid, mine, local CAs etc) on November 2nd that totalled a little over $800.
I have seen it said time and time again paying a collection will not increase a Fico score. But honestly that is the only change I can imagine having impacted my score...??
Do you have any positive accounts that have aged? Also negatives diminish their affect over time. Could be one of those 2. But anyway, congrats!
Scores improve bc CO reporting as open account.and when you paid balance doand then your score gonna go up!
Congrats on your score increase!!

Maybe I had some old 30/60/90 day lates drop off?
Other than that, could be aging of student loans or aging of negative accounts as well I guess....I don't have open current revolving/installment lines except student loans that are in deferrment. Waiting for score to go up a little bit more then will app for a GE card or two to start rebuilding :-)
Congrats
I'm betting its a combination of the age of accounts increased to another milestone and that maybe a late or two dropped off.
Also did you actually check your reports? Some CA (very few, but some) do delete once you pay - even without asking....maybe one of them deleted once you paid....
Also if it was factoring into util it might have made a change.

I wish. I asked them upfront about PFD and they said they do not do them.
ANNNNNND on another great note, I pulled TU on here and it's at 613 yay me!
