Anyone have any sucess getting them to delete

Can I get the contact info as well to see if I can get my $71 delinquent account removed. It was something that I didnt know I owed and then one day it hit my CR and ever since its ruined my perfectly good credit.... would love to get it out of my report if I can. It started in 2007/2008 so I assume my SOL is up not sure if that will make it go away... any help is appreciated..
