Fair Credit Reporting Act?

where on the FCRA can I find where a Creditor may remove a debt from the CR if they choose to. I have several medical bills that I plan on paying off and the Hospital's buisness office says that they cannot do that legally (obviously they are liying and dont know how well informed I am) I just wanted to be able to quote the actual law or rule in the PFD letter that I give them

Re: Fair Credit Reporting Act?

I don't have the actual wording, but to my knowledege it only says that information that is reported must be accurate and truthful.

Creditors are NEVER legally compelled to report to CRAs, but when they do it must be correct.

Re: Fair Credit Reporting Act?

For medical collections, do a google for "HIPAA" you will find everything you need to get the med collections removed.
