False reporting mistake by USAA

So last year July I tried to get USAA to remove some late payments from a 2006 MC that I closed in 2008 but instead they updated the account on all 3 reports to say ND all the way till JULY of 2012 where they reported a OK. This is causing my last reported baddie to be 0.6 year ago. OMG I need this to be removed from my reports. I'm remember reading some where that when it come to false reporting I can get the whole item removed. Is this true and would this account qualify. What are the steps?HELP

Reporting ND shouldn't be considered a baddie, I don't think?  I had an old auto loan revised due to a mistake by the lender and it is similar in that it reads ND for a number of months, and then OK paid satisfactorily.  Maybe I misunderstood what you are referring to with the baddie though.

Could you post exactly what you are seeing in your report?  Maybe a screenshot or something, might be more helpful for providing suggestions.

Re: False reporting mistake by USAA

The late payment was in 2007ish. They are reporting and OK in July of 2012. I closed the card in 2008. The account closed so isn't that false reporting. When I got my new boa card they asked why about cause all they saw was a negative item .6 with USAA for 60 late payment. I explain the late payment was from 2007. This OK reported in 2012 is still false since the account is closed.

And I'm not worried about the ND but they have over 2 years of them and then an OK in July of 2012. This might help my age but it wrong.

Re: False reporting mistake by USAA

Does it state closed as of July '12?  Is it still reporting monthly?

When did you dispute the account?

Re: False reporting mistake by USAA

I'm sure someone knows the exact rule on this.  I'm trying to recall my experience with it, but I feel like I had a similar situation with my auto loan that was disputed, they removed the incorrect information, then reported a bunch of No Data months, up until the month that the account was rectified, reported an OK and then marked it closed, paid satisfactorily.  If you haven't done so, pull your report and see what exactly is being reported as the negative.  The ND's won't come up as negative - if they are reporting a 60 day late in July, then that is incorrect, based on what you have said, and you have something you can dispute.  I think until you know exactly what is being reported, aside from the notice from a cc app, you won't know whether you are in bad shape or not.

Re: False reporting mistake by USAA

Before I disputed it it was correct. Late payments and then the month I closed it was all there. But now I canonly see the past 24 or so months with ND up until July of 12 where its listed as OK. I can see my old listings of when I had the card open. I hope u can understand this. I will post of screen shot when I get home on my phone right now.
