Fast Track to Improved Payment History

I am trying to get my credit score up fast. My payment history is a big negative for me now. I am at a 560 credit score, but want to get up to 620 to buy a house. I took out a secure credit card through USAA and got my credit up to where it is now. Will a second secured credit card maybe from capital one help my payment history get better twice as fast?

Re: Fast Track to Improved Payment History

It isn't the number of cards you have but how you use and manage them.  If you have one card don't let it report a 0 balance.  Let it report at 9% or below.

You are not rewarded for ontime payments, that is expected.  But being consistent will be highly in your favor.
