I would wait a couple days and check to see if it falls off your account. When you go back to the bank, they will prolly have to pull your CR again anyhow. A piece of paper won't mean was much to the lender as actualy seeing it off the report. That might give you the break you need in points.

I sent the collection letter to the mortgage company for rescoring (also sent a deletion letter from a CA for a recent medical bill).  Hopefully it will give me the push I need.  I will keep everyone updated on the rescoring and points.

Please make sure they give tou something in writing with their company letterhead signed by a manager or higher agreeing to your PFD.

both letters were sent with the company's letterhead, signed and a seperate letter showing a PIF. Will let you know what the results are.
