Feeling like this is never going to get better... Very Overwhelmed

So here's the deal... During the recession a few years back I was out of work for 12 months.  Credit went to HELL in that 12 months.  For the past 24 months back on my feet no late payments but the DAMAGE has been done.  Here's where I'm at current: EQ score on 2/21 was 521 score update on 3/12 540 / TU score on 3/3 550.

I just recently last week paid off my good TL credit balances to refelct the information you see above (BOA,CAP1, CAP1, Merrick, FingerHut) so i havent seen the impact on my scores yet.  Before last week all balances were pretty much maxed out.

I've tried PFD with Midland funding but have not heard back.  Also, what else can I do, just wait for these things to age off?  Do GW letters work for C/O?  Any and all help is appreciated.  I REALLY REALLY want to get in the mid 600's!!!!

Yes, you can send GW letters for the COs.

You need to decide if you want those paid COs deleted as it could affect your AAoA.  What is your oldest one?

The CRAs only remove the derogatory comment, the CO, not the account itself.  It is up to the OC whether the delete the TL or not.

I'm hoping I get a score increase due to the fact I've lowered my UTIL from pretty much maxed out to what you see above and also the National Recovery Collection should be deleted shortly according to the PFD.

Bringing down your utilization from maxed out to what it is now (I didn't figure it out) will help.  Letting the positive TLs you have age and keeping up good payments will also help.
